Balconette

Balconette's production manager was running the factory floor with a system built on spreadsheets and printed paper. It worked after a fashion, but it meant constantly duplicating data — copying figures from their database into spreadsheets, printing reports, and keeping multiple sources of truth in sync by hand. Every update was extra work, and every discrepancy was a potential problem on the line.

They needed something that lived where the data already was, displayed it clearly, and removed the need for a separate layer of manual maintenance altogether.

What We Built

We built a real-time manufacture board that pulls live data directly from their existing database and presents it in a format designed specifically for the production floor. There's no import step, no spreadsheet to maintain, and no risk of the display falling out of sync — the data is always current.

The system is organised across several pages, each categorising a different aspect of the production workload. Quantities can be filtered on demand, allowing different teams on the line to tally up exactly what they need to produce in their area without wading through irrelevant data. Each manufacturing order is colour-coded for quick visual identification, making it easy to scan the board and understand the day's work at a glance.

The result was an immediate improvement for the production team — removing a significant administrative burden and giving the manager a tool they could actually trust.
