ANP — Membership Directory

The ANP had been running their membership platform on another membership platform (Wild Apricot) but had outgrown what it could offer them. They wanted to move to their own custom platform — one they had full control over — and WordPress was the right fit for most of their needs.

Much of the functionality could be handled with existing WordPress plugins. The one piece that couldn't was their Member Directory. Their requirements for how members should be searchable and displayed didn't map neatly onto any off-the-shelf solution, so a custom build was needed.

What We Built

We designed and built a custom Membership Directory that lets visitors search practitioners by location, by speciality, or by a combination of both. The search is flexible enough to handle how people actually look for a practitioner — without requiring them to know exactly what they're looking for upfront — while remaining straightforward and intuitive to use.

The directory integrates cleanly with the rest of the WordPress site and fits the design and structure of the wider membership platform, giving ANP a cohesive experience for their members and visitors rather than something that feels bolted on.
